That is why I capture your family in the comfort of your own home—calmly, lovingly, and without rushing—while guiding you to create the most beautiful images of your time together. This ensures you can look back on this period forever.
We take our time during the shoot. There is plenty of time for feeding, changing, or even a bath. We ensure a calm and pleasant atmosphere. I capture beautiful images of you at home, in your own surroundings, making the most of the available light—which creates the best results, as I work with natural light.
This results in timeless photos that you will still look back on with love in twenty years’ time.

I guide you gently, allowing you to simply enjoy the moment together.

When should you book a newborn photoshoot?
The best time is between 5 and 21 days after birth.
That is why I recommend booking while you are still pregnant;
this ensures you have a spot. Book for two weeks after your due date so I can plan accordingly in my schedule.

I take my time and follow your baby’s rhythm; the shoot lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
Selection & Post-processing
You will receive a beautiful online gallery where you can select your favorites. Once the list of favorites is complete, I will prepare the invoice; upon payment, I will send an email containing download instructions, ordering information, and printing advice.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) – Newborn Photoshoot
When is the best time for a newborn photoshoot?
The best time is when the baby is between 7 and 12 days old, as they still sleep a lot during this period.
However, the date mainly depends on when you feel ready—once you, as the mother, have settled in a bit and you have all adjusted to your new routine. So, scheduling it later than the first two weeks is perfectly fine; a newborn shoot can take place anytime between 7 days and 12 weeks of age. On average, I visit new parents when the baby is 2 to 3 weeks old.
To help you decide:
- The first 2 weeks: The baby is still a deep sleeper, is easy to position in the ‘womb pose,’ and still has lovely, soft newborn fuzz.
- Up to 4 weeks: Still an ideal time to capture those tender, little moments. You will also have had a bit more time to recover and adjust to the new routine.
- Around 6 to 12 weeks: Perfect if you’re looking for a bit more interaction. Your baby is usually more alert by this stage, can make eye contact, and the first conscious smiles can be captured.
Tips for prep for a newborn photoshoot
Feel free to give your baby a feed and a bath beforehand so they sleep soundly. When confirming your date, I always send along my comprehensive newborn brochure; it is packed with tips to help you prepare as well as possible—covering everything from clothing colors to postpartum advice. Coordinate your outfits using various shades; white and beige are colors that always work well with skin tones and create a sense of calm in the photos.
- Opt for a variety of textures—for example, a wool outfit with booties on a cozy blanket, or something similar for yourselves, like comfortable trousers and a chunky knit sweater.
- Ensure the house or bedroom is warm (25°C or higher).
- Feed the baby before the shoot.
- Have extra outfits ready.
- Don’t stress; we will take plenty of time for every part of the session.
- Make sure the bedroom is tidy.
How soon will we receive our photos after a newborn photoshoot?
After a photoshoot, I aim to edit all the photos within 7 days. They are then uploaded to an online gallery, where you can request adjustments and select your favorites within 30 days. For privacy reasons, the gallery is protected by a personal password. My galleries typically contain between 40 and over 80 images.
Privacy preference: I don’t want our photos posted online—how do you handle that?
You can let me know in advance whether I may use your photos for my portfolio. I am proud of my work and love to showcase it, but I will always respect your wish if you prefer to keep the photos private. If you choose not to have them used, your photos will be securely stored and will not be included in my portfolio. I always ask about this preference when you book a date.
How long does a newborn photoshoot take?
On average, 1 to 2 hours.
Can older brothers and sisters also be in the photo?
Yes, of course! We usually do this in a playful way or by using little activities. Whenever possible, I like to start with the whole family right away, and an older brother or sister can always join in later.
Can the shoot take place at our home?
Yes! I come to you, so your baby can stay in a familiar environment.
Do you also take photos of breastfeeding?
If you would like that, I would love to photograph a feeding session. Unless explicitly requested otherwise, these photos are never used for my portfolio, and you will always receive them from me for free.
Which regions in Limburg do you cover?
I work throughout Limburg—from Horst, Venray, Venlo, and Roermond to Maastricht and the surrounding areas, and well beyond to even Utrecht, Eindhoven or Nijmegen.
